Guest Traceability for iOS and Android
The software described here was made to simplify and easily save contact data, which has become a necessary process in times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It has been developed especially for gastronomy businesses, but can be used basically everywhere when it comes to contact forms (e.g. sports events, concerts, theaters, cinemas...).
For data security reasons every process of this software happens completely on the used (mobile) device.
With this app the user can save his or her personal information (name, address, phone number) and generate a qr-code. All data will be processed and saved on the used device only!
Using the 'Guest Traceability Scanner App' the generated qr-code can be scanned and further processed in a appropriate manner.
A little frame to show some ads (Google Admob) can be seen, this is the only connection to an external server. User input will not be sent anywhere though.
On the main page events can be created (event name, date of the event, comment). By clicking on an event the scanner page opens and qr-codes can be scanned to get the guests data. The scanned data will show up and can be double-checked if necessary. A click on the big button below "checks them in" and the data will be saved in that event (pop-up to show success appears). Clicking on reset will reset the showed data and the scanner frame.
Back to the main page, the events can be exported/saved as .csv-files. These files contain the scanned data plus a timestamp of the time when the guest was checked in. While the data has not been exported, they're saved in the app's cache on the device, so make sure to not erase that cache. Also, check that your operating system (e.g. iOS11 and above) or another service (so called 'performance booster' apps etc.) do not erase that cache.
Export the lists as often and soon as possible to avoid loss of data! The app contains no connections to external servers or APIs. Only the user of the app decides where to export that data to. Please make sure to treat that data responsibly! There's no chance for the app creator to retrieve any of the data!.
If you decide to delete an event (pop-up 'really want to delete that event' appears) all the assigned data will be irreversibly deleted!
